To early to start thinking about spring?
« on: January 28, 2012, 09:49:53 AM »

OK, last year I was really bummed when it looked like you guys (and gals) had a heck of a day at Savannah in late March.  Which got me thinking...do we want to try and set something up like that again?  And should we talking about it now?

All this green grass is driving me nuts...

I'd be riding right now if I could.

I just put the motor back in the frame. It is completely fresh top and bottom. Tore apart the whole bike and greased everything. Had a few bearings to replace and just got the parts today. Got my new cables, levers, braided brake lines, and clutch kit in yesterday. That should keep me occupied for a few days.

Back is jacked. Slipped and fell on ice covered stairs on Tuesday. I laid there on the ice for 30 min in agony. I thought I would have to call 911. Finally got myself to the car to drive home. Still hurts. Going to get an xray in a few weeks.fml

I am actually hoping it will freakin snow, I have a goal to accomplish on the Gasser but need a good snowfall to do it.  Bill D. and I are suffering with this winter, or lack thereof.

I would be up for something like that again.

We didn't really plan that very much.  There was an open practice at Savannah (he tends to open much earlier than other tracks, and stay open later too) and a few of us decided to go a few days before.  Once others were aware there were a few going, it all just snowballed.  End result, about 14 of us showed up.

We can keep an eye out for his practice annoucements.  I follow the track on Facebook.

Sounds like a plan.   I need to pull the right cover off the 250 and JB weld a stripped oil check hole (manual has a mis-print on the torque spec), but other then that, I'll be ready this year for an early outing.
