im planning on going out to rt 104/414 trail area (heard this was the best place to access the 104 trail) and maybe starting there. not sure where im going to unload, i guess maybe right off the road there. my bike is registered and insured so i dont think theres much trouble i can get into. Im dying to do some riding, especially for free. So if the weather is good on either day, i will probobly go out there. anyone want to go with or am i being retarded/not a good idea?

I would have to take the DR but I might be in for Sunday (got a family party on Saturday). I've heard the same about the access and as far as I know it's ok.

alan put some real tires on that DR if your riding this early you wont get anywhere with those stret tires in this slop. see if gary still has some kenda track masters, thats DOT legal, and way better traction.

i was just gonna say that, the snow should be all melted but there may be some sloppy spots, and the tires on your new DR looked more for street. i have some rope for my tuggers just in case.
im kinda counting on some mud however, want to do a little "training"

They're 50/50 tires but I agree, they'd probably eat ass in the mud. Maybe if I go I will just take my yz on its break in ride.

Seems easier than mounting/unmounting tires.  I have all the docs for it, and it's even insured.  I just would need to register it.

OR I could carry the reg and plate for the other Yamaha YZ(F) I have that is actually registered.  I doubt DEC would check the VIN.

You can also stop at the Valero gas station (just east of Rt 88 in Sodus)... usually they don't mind if you check in with them, then park your truck/car/trailer in their lot and unload. Maybe even get som egas or soda as a token.
I should be out that way either Sat or Sunday. White & red Z400 and silver Dodge 1500.

yup i know right where it is, just before 88. i replaced all the windows in sodus schools from oct til feb so i know the area well. i always saw the trail and wanted to check it out. valero sounds like a good start point as that way it can be rode all the way out to wolcott area and dont have to turn back to ride back to sodus. id feel better having the trailer at valero than of on the side of the road someplace.

Yeah there is no fucking way I'd ride my DR in this mud.  I tried some trails today and it sucked.

i may ride 104 on thurs., its gonna be nice out thurs and fri but fri im having my electric service replaced becuase its finally toasted (1350 bucks later, ouch ) and id like to ride sat if its still nice. sunday looks like rain so far but thats not stopped me before. bring out the YZ sunday and lets have a mud fest!

Yeah if I ride it'll be the YZ. just fired her up yesterday and she is ready to rip. Maybe we hit Savannah on Sunday  if they are practicing? It's the best MX and very beginner friendly. Even I do all the jumps there.

i know saturday looks NICE. i will defintely be going out sat as well, plan on tommorrow too, since im not busy. its too bad you dont have a headlight we could go after your party. i ended up getting a brighter PIAA bulb last year and now i can see everything.

took a quick ride around my neighborhood this morning to make sure the bike was good after storage. i got into some real "technical"terrain down at the school by accident (which really just means i went to turn around on the grass and exited too quickly in the soft field, making a huge rut and spraying mud everywhere:(  ) the paved streets were real technical too. (i rode with one hand.)
