The air cooled 4-Valve XR250 is back but with fuel injection and now they call it the CRF250F (I don't understand though why they have two "Fs" in the model name):

GasGas is moving full throttle towards the electric bike movement.

And TM now has an "injected" 2-stroke with electric start:

CRF250R - Race
CRF250X - Cross Country
CRF250L - Legal (street legal)
CRF250F - Family, fun, fucking slow (one of those)

But I think the F is Family.

The Gas Gas bikes look cool.  I know not everyone likes them, but I am all for the electric future.  Bring it on!

Also the TMs are nice bikes.   But as long as you can only get parts made of Unobtanium that come from The Seychelles on the fourth Wednesday of January it's not worth buying one.

You forgot 2 more:

CRF250RX - Cross Country Race
CRF250L Rally - Paris-Dakar Poser at Starbucks

Also, looks like the CRF250F has a REALLY crappy suspension.

Who the hell let those guys keep their jobs at Honda? The new xr is only 80 lbs heavier!! The XR is widely known and has the reputation of a bulletproof Baja race champion. Why would you want to change it?

My 1999 XR400R was definitely not bullet-proof with a catastrophic engine failure at about 1,000 miles.

I imagine Honda figures that anyone that cares about weight, will buy a CRF250X or CRF250RX or CRF250R.  The weight on the CRF250F is not terrible at 265 lbs wet and full of fuel, except the suspension is incredibly cheap, bottom-shelf stuff for sure.

Honda's CRF250 line-up is overall, pretty diverse and impressive.

The only really flaws I can find with Honda's line-up is the lack of 2-strokes and the weight of the CRF450L and CRF450X.  But the CRF450L will sell well because it is a Honda and it is light years ahead of the DRZ400S.

A CRF450L Rally would probably be popular too .... if it wasn't over $11,000.
