fun little things gleaned from watching that. brenden may have owned a quad that was in that movie. he had a 1993 bob sloan race quad, that looked just like the one pictured and also had a crazy low end port job on it. also pretty interesting seeing both caleb russells dad and aaron plessingers dads. guys i wouldnt have known at all in 1993 but their kids are some of the biggest names in off road racing today.

other than a couple mud holes i didnt think pavillion was too bad. they were the same holes they have every year, i dont know why they don't do something to fix them.

i havent been a fan of the m-12 for anything but hard pack, but i love the m-59 and ive liked the kenda washugal. id be curious to see how the equilibrium is, i used to love trials tires, but in certain conditions they made me so mad, i stopped using them.

heres my opinion on these events. we live in a pretty small area, we have a ridiculous amount of racing, but very little public riding. you want to get the numbers up on these races have an under 35 and an over 35 sportsmans class that scores no points and gets no trophies. take the pressure off people who aren't racers and just try to get them involved in events. even racing beginner is intimidating, if you aren't a racer. get the retired racers out, get the trail riders out, and get the outsiders involved in some of these series. i know for me personally there are some days i just dont feel like racing and i'd race sportsmans just to ride but im not gonna line up on the AA line, when im not feeling it. this event is a perfect example. ive been slammed with work and haven't ridden yet this year, im not gonna race C or B because thats not fair, but im also not going to line up rusty and out of shape in the AA line, no points sportsmans class id be there.

i dont think im going to miss the year off!

nope, we talked about signing up in i believe febuary or march and it was already booked.

Unbelievable. Why would anyone buy one of those? And it can't be the quality, i hear more problems with KTM now than any other bike..

there are likely more KTM's being raced than any other brand too, so hearing about more issues might have to do with the fact that there are just more KTM's.

those bikes are being bought by middle aged guys who can afford them.

marc, you remember the first time we swapped our 01 cr 250's? haha. i couldnt believe how nice yours was to ride. we went right to the barn and pulled off my powervalve cover. id been riding that bike for almost a year with that valve linkage wrong. that motor was ridiculous, i didnt know any better till i rode yours.
