Pictures and Video / Stolen 2002 KTM 400 EXC, Webster, NY
« on: November 27, 2018, 05:31:16 pm »
Here is a picture of my buddy's street plated 2002 KTM 400 EXC, VIN # VBKEXJ4382M340230.  It was stolen on November 13, 2018.  The perpetrator broke into his shed around 6:00 AM and drove it across the backyards of approximately 10 homes on John Leo Drive in Webster.

He saved like $18 on his insurance policy by not adding comprehensive / theft insurance.

The air cooled 4-Valve XR250 is back but with fuel injection and now they call it the CRF250F (I don't understand though why they have two "Fs" in the model name):

GasGas is moving full throttle towards the electric bike movement.

And TM now has an "injected" 2-stroke with electric start:

So I picked up this gem the other day as a leftover from Phil at Five Star Cycle, just outside of Erie, Pennsylvania.  So after I secured a NY street plate, I started with the accessories:

- KTM Power Parts Expansion Chamber Guard
- KTM Power Parts Preload Adjuster (not installed yet)
- KTM Power Parts Skid Plate
- KTM Power Parts Exhaust Flange Guard
- KTM Power Parts Swing Arm Protection
- KTM Power Parts Front Axle Puller
- Nuetech Tubliss Front and Rear
- Enduro Engineering Spark Arrestor End Cap
- Ballistic Nylon Regular Fender Bag
- Tusk Fork Bleeders

This should be good enough for this year's Jersey Hammer Run Dual Sport.  But over the winter, I intend to install a straight rate, heavier rear spring with the KTM Power Parts Preload Adjuster, as well as some good bark busters and a steering dampener.  I shouldn't have much more to do to it after that.

As many of you know, I recently bought a new 2018 KTM 250 XCW (carbed) for a KILLER price and I was able to street plate it.  However, if I was not on an Orange or White (Husqvarna) bike, I would probably be on this bike or a WR250F.

Anywho, here is the 2019 Yamaha YZ250FX First Ride Review:
